99minds is a capable platform with a broad promotions toolkit and deep integration into retail and ecommerce systems. For a multi-store brand running Shopify and a POS estate, that integration list is the reason to buy it.
For an independent business, the pricing model is the thing to understand first.
Count your transactions, then compare
99minds' Basic plan includes 800 transactions a month and charges $0.15 for each one beyond. A café stamping 60 customers a day crosses that in the middle of the month, and the bill grows with the success of the programme.
Sharaftona charges a flat monthly fee regardless of how many times customers scan. A loyalty programme that costs more the better it works is a strange incentive to sign up to.
If you run Shopify and a POS estate, 99minds is the specialist
Heartland, Lightspeed, Square, Clover, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and Shopify extensions are not things we offer, and for a brand whose loyalty must reconcile with an ecommerce checkout they matter enormously.
Sharaftona has a developer API for the same reason, but it is a smaller surface aimed at a till and a scanner rather than an enterprise stack.
