Where Sharaftona differs
Both issue branded Apple and Google Wallet cards with push and location notifications. The differences are currency, language and trial length.
Priced in dollars, not pounds
As of August 2026 Perkstar publishes £15, £30 and £65 per month. Sharaftona publishes $15, in dollars. For a Gulf business, billing in sterling adds a conversion and a card fee to every invoice. Compare the two figures in your own currency on the day — we do not quote a rate, because it moves.
Fourteen days to try it, not seven
Perkstar offers a seven-day free trial with no card required. Sharaftona gives fourteen, also with no card. A week is rarely long enough to see whether customers actually come back; a fortnight usually is.
Arabic that is actually in the product
Perkstar's site and pricing are published in English. Sharaftona's dashboard, staff scanner, customer sign-up page and the wallet card itself all run in native Arabic with right-to-left layout, on every plan. Verify this with any vendor rather than trusting a comparison page — including this one.
Cashback and gifts without a tier jump
Perkstar includes stamps and points on Starter and unlocks its remaining card types on the £30 Growth plan. Sharaftona gives you stamps, points, cashback, gifts and tiers on the entry plan.

Which one should you actually choose?
Perkstar is good. The question is whether it is built for your customers.
Perkstar is a genuinely strong product and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Unlimited members on every plan, location-based notifications on the cheapest tier, Google review collection, physical card and key-tag support, and a clear published feature matrix.
Two things separate it from Sharaftona for a Gulf business, and neither is about feature count.
Unlimited customers is a real advantage
Perkstar puts unlimited loyalty members on all three plans, including the £15 Starter. Sharaftona caps the entry plan at 1,000 customers and moves you up from there. If you already have a few thousand active customers, that is the cleaner deal and we would rather say so.
Below a thousand it makes no practical difference, and the trial length and language start to matter more.
Language is not a feature you can add later
A loyalty programme fails at one specific moment: the counter, when a customer is asked to sign up while other people are waiting. If that page is in the wrong language, they say no.
Sharaftona renders in Arabic from the merchant dashboard through to the pass in the customer's wallet. Perkstar does not list an Arabic interface. In Riyadh or Jeddah that is the difference between a programme that fills and one that does not.
